- 1987 : Orefi was founded by Pierre Brossette and Marcel Sengelin
- 1990 : AD Industrie network was created by the AUTODISTRIBUTION buying centre
- 1991 : Orefi's name was launched to unify all Group companies
- 1992 : AD Industrie launched its first catalogue: 'Protection Hygiène et Sécurité'
- 1994 : Orefi has 45 agencies in France
- December 2000 : Orefi acquires the Biesheuvel Groep, a major player in European industrial distribution, based in the Netherlands.
- 2004 : Orefi has grown to 45 agencies in France and 10 in the Netherlands
- Janvier 2006 : Investcorp acquires Autodistribution
- April 2006: Investcorp acquires Orefi
- January 2007: Orefi and AD industrie combine; creating the Orexad network
- March 2007: The Orexad network brings together 160 agencies in France and 10 in the Netherlands
- October 2007: Orexad acquires Novotech in Romania
